You might want to grab a cup of coffee and sit back and relax for this post. It’s going to be long, and I’m sorry I’m not sorry. Day 2 of Hannah and Lance’s wedding weekend (the wedding day!) was full of fellowship, laughter, primping, celebration, food, and dancing! It doesn’t get any better than that. In the months leading up to the big day, I would often ask Hannah about the wedding because I knew she put thought into everything, and we love talking details and imagining up what could be. It’s a girl thing. The one word she told me she wanted to describe her wedding day was ‘lovely.’ As usual, she hit the nail on the head. Everything about this day was lovely…the people, the setting, the details, and the reason for celebrating. Lovely.
The girls began the day at the Flora’s house. Ahhh. We all have fond memories of visiting Hannah’s family’s house in college, so it was just sweet being there the morning of Hannah’s wedding to have breakfast, visit, and watch her get ready for her big day.
Then it was off to the church to get dressed and start pictures! When we visited Dallas in college, we actually went to Hannah’s church and all got a picture in the bridal room thinking that the next time we would all be there together would be for Hannah’s wedding. Now, I don’t have the picture, and someone should track it down, but the memory of all of it for us was just so sweet and sentimental.
Hannah and Lance decided to see each other before the wedding so we could get the pictures done and they could maximize their time at the reception. I’m so glad they did. This moment was so precious between them. Did I mention how in love they are? You will see from the following images, but I don’t think I’ve ever photographed a couple that couldn’t stop smiling and laughing at each other like them. I loved getting to be a part of it. They were literally giddy.
May I present…13auburnfriends. Well, minus one that’s living in Hong Kong with her husband and baby on the way (!). I love these girls.
I love the look they give each other walking down the isle…”Ah! We did it!”
Victory dance in the hallway…yep.
This car was a surprise to Hannah. I wish you could’ve seen her face when she saw it, but she would’ve killed me for posting it. It was priceless. Her dad thought they needed to ride in big Texas style to their big Texas wedding!
Everyone danced the night away at one of the most fun receptions I’ve ever been to. Thank you Hannah and Lance for allowing me to be a part of your special day. I love you both so much. Now, I just need to get up to NYC to visit the new married couple!
